What can I say....he's a boy!

I went upstairs one day to see what Brent was up to, and this is where I found him. He is obsessed with climbing on everything.

I took the kids to Gardner Village to see the witches and we went with Jill and Allison and their kids. The kids found this pole that was holding up a tent and they started playing on it. Brent wanted to play too, and all that was left was the rope holding the tent in place. Needless to say my son....um.... started grinding the rope and I happ
ened to get a couple of pics of it.

Don't you love the face he is giving

I have no comment

our vehicles

So I have come to the conclusion that I should probably sell my Jeep. I am really sad about it, but in the long run I think I will be ok with my decision. The current economy is really scaring me right now. And so I posted it on a couple of websites and if it sells, it sells and if it doesn't, it doesn't. Well at least we have Brent's truck to take camping. Or so I thought, then Brent's truck just got hit by some stupid high school girl and so he is driving around a rental. The rental he is driving is a MINIVAN! yes, my husband who works construction is driving a minivan to work. I love it, I don't think I have ever laughed so hard. He looks so funny in it. (oh don't worry the story gets better). I met Brent for lunch and we switched cars for the day. I have always said that I would never drive a minivan, but hey, it was a rental.
I thought Jill, my sister-in-law, would enjoy spending the day with me in the minivan. After she stopped laughing hysterically at me for the blue smurf mobile, we all loaded into the van to hit the park. While we were loading up the kids we stopped laughing because we couldn't believe how much room there was. But I did have quite the time with the stupid automatic doors. At the park I almost smashed Blake with the door because I still can't figure out which button does what. Rylee has almost had her fingers smashed in the door as well and all because of me. So for safety reasons we all load up in the van and then I close the doors. And we all get out of the van and when everyone is far away, I close the doors. I know I'm retarded.
But after everything I do see why people have them. They are just so convenient if you have more than 2 kids. I only have 2 so for the time being, I do not need one.

My dilemma

So I have a dilemma. Brent and I have been talking about me going back to work full time. This would be for maybe 6 months to a year, just to get some savings in place. We are so worried with the economy right now and Brent builds houses for a living. They have work right now in Park city but you just don't know when it will change.
I have been talking to a couple of my old managers from work and there is one who would work with my crazy schedule ( I want to keep Ry in preschool, and try to limit the amount of hours my kids would be in day care). So my schedule is pretty much working nights. I just don't know if I can handle going back to work 5 days a week, right now i barely work 3. I just remember being so tired (but that was after working a 60 hr week, not 35). I'm afraid I will resent myself for being away from my kids. UGH! and I have to decide by Friday morning. I am so confused?

The picture is Rylee thinking really hard for me, she is such a girlie girl.

My Brents

I was in Ry's room reading her a bedtime story. When the baby came in a started playing in her room. Well needless to say, he hit his head on Ry's bed frame.

He was trying to scare me...and YES that is his front tooth finally coming in! It only took him 18 months to get it. And look at that bump on his head.

The next pics are of Brent going down the stairs. About six months ago he fell down the stairs, twice, and has not tried to go down them since. He would just sit at the top of the stairs and cry whenever he wanted to come down. Then a few days ago he just decided that he could come down them by himself. And this is how he does it, by smashing his face in the stairs so he doesn't fall. What can I say....he gets it from his dad.

Here is my hubby, growing out his beard. I actually like it and I think he looks cute. He doesn't believe me at all. But I think he looks a little older with it.

Family BBQ

Last Sunday we went to Sam's house, Brent's sister, for a family BBQ. It was very entertaining. Every time the Smiths get together there is always a 'friendly' game of football. And like all games they start out friendly, but before you know it they are getting pretty competitive.

Of course you need a play and Brent always has one

Grandpa was put on "Brent duty", while I took a couple of pictures of the family.

And how do all games usually end...that's right with someone losing the ball in the neighbor's yard
