Ry's fieldtrip

Ry had a field trip to the fire department in Pleasant Grove. They all loved it. Rylee saw one of the firemen had a bunch of stickers and after that her attention was completely gone. I think she asked him a million times if she could have a sticker.

And she finally got her sticker. We had fun with all of the kids and then all of the kids went to the park to have a picnic. They loved it!

My ancient yard

We have the most messed up yard on our block. I guess it goes with the 100 year old house we are fixing up. Our sidewalks are so worn that when ever there is a large gush of water, the front yard fills up. Well we had quite a rainstorm a couple of weeks ago and this was what my front yard looked like.

The water reached my front porch this time and it has never done that before. But it was kinda cool to see how fast the water filled up the yard and it only rained for about 15 mins.

And here are my kids playing in the puddles. And yes I have bought them a swimming pool, they sometimes prefer to play in the dirty puddles. Kids like mud more.

In may Brent and I rebuilt our crappy flowerbed that was in the front yard. I planted some flowers knowing that I might move them in the fall, or just rip them out if I don't like them. The gardener at the nursery told me it takes about 5 to 7 years to really develop your flowerbed, and then after that don't ever think your completely done. So I am prepared for that....but what I wasn't prepared for, was this flower (I can't even think of its name). The tag said it was suppose to attract hummingbirds, and instead it is a beehive.

I went to water it and I was seriously attacked by a swarm of bees. They are all over these plants and I only have 3 of them. The part that sucks is that I planted these right by my front porch. So when I'm on the front porch I have bees flying all around.

I like the color and Brent does too, so we think we will move them on the other side of the house. It just scares me when the baby starts heading towards them with a shovel in his hand.

Have you ever heard of this?

So my little guy is around 16 months old and he still only has 2 teeth (on the bottom gum). I keep checking the top ones, and they look like they are just starting to come in. Then yesterday when we were playing in the backyard, I lifted him upside down and he laughed really hard. And to my surprise he has 2 freak'n molars! Now I have never seen a child get his 1yr molars before they get their 2 front teeth. No wonder he has been cranky, he was cutting molars.
It feels like his teeth will never come in. Maybe his teeth just have to start in the back and work their way forward.

My kids are nuts!

A couple of days ago, Ry and I were talking about how long ago baby Brent was born. I told her it was about 1 year ago. She then asked how long ago she was born. I told her about 4 years ago. She then told me that she was with Jesus before she was born. I told her yes, she was. Ry said 'mom do you know what Jesus said to me when I was in Heaven'. He said, "stop running around". What a nut!

The next day I was outside with the kids and dogs. My two dogs ran into the neighbor's yard and so I chased after them. The dogs are on this kick of not listening to me, go figure. After a couple of minutes I got the dogs back in the yard and I walked up to the front porch to finish my yogurt, that I had just opened. And what do you know, Brent grabbed it and spilled it all over the front porch and on himself. I give up!

NATE GOT MARRIED!

On thursday Nate and Sarah were married at the Mount Timp temple. It seemed like everyone there was so excited that this day had finally arrived. They have been engaged since Feb, which is a long time in Utah.
Nate, Sarah, and both of their moms. I always forget how much older Nate's family is until I meet his Niece who is my age. There is a 15 year gap between Nate and his next sibling. So his older brothers and sisters are my parents age.
Don't they look cute. They are complete opposites, but in a good way.
While they were posing for pictures Nate's mom asked me if I thought this day would come? I told her, yes I did. She quickly replied, "I didn't". I love his mom.

pre-k

So I know I am a little late to post this. But we have had a very busy week. Ry started Pre-k last wednesday. And then on thursday Nate got married, my mom came into town on Friday. Then on Saturday one of my cousins, Kamber, was married. Anyways, here are a couple of pics of ry on her first day of pre-school.

Ry is showing me how 'tuff' she is

My babies!

Brent and I have this old desktop computer that has a ton of my family's pictures saved on it. Yes I know I should have put them all on a disk, but I didn't. Well as luck would have it, it died. We took it in and they fixed it. But they could only save a few pics and files. So I decided to
transfer all of my files from the desktop to a disk and to my laptop. While I was transferring the
pictures I noticed that my kids look quite alike. So I decided I would post a couple of them. See if you can tell which pictures are Rylee and which ones are Brent.

They look alike in a couple of the pics, huh?
